What fruits can you eat with suppurative tonsillitis?
Purulent tonsillitis is a relatively common otorhinolaryngological disease. In terms of diet, common fruits such as apples, grapes, bananas, pears, oranges, and dragon fruit can be consumed. This is because these fruits do not have side effects on tonsillitis nor do they affect the treatment effectiveness. It is more important to visit an otorhinolaryngologist for consultation. Routine blood tests and indirect laryngoscopy should be performed primarily to assess the severity of the tonsillitis. In terms of medical treatment, antibiotics are commonly used and can be supplemented with nebulization therapy. The treatment period is generally about a week. (The use of medication should be under the guidance of a doctor.)

Can I eat eggs with acute pharyngitis?
Patients with acute pharyngitis can eat eggs, as eggs are a common food rich in protein and are not irritating. They do not have side effects on the condition of acute pharyngitis, nor do they directly conflict with the medications used to treat acute pharyngitis. For patients with acute pharyngitis, it is recommended to have a light diet, eat more vegetables and fruits. More importantly, it is necessary to visit an otolaryngologist for a routine blood test and nasopharyngoscopy to assess the specific causes and severity of the condition, and then proceed with subsequent treatment. Most patients can choose oral medications combined with nebulization treatment, and the treatment period is generally about one week.

Nasal Polyps Symptoms and Hazards
Nasal polyp symptoms are quite varied, and these mainly relate to the number of nasal polyps, the severity of the polyps, and the subjective feelings of the patient. If the nasal polyps are small, there may not be obvious clinical symptoms, and the patient might not feel any discomfort; these polyps might only be discovered during a physical examination. If there are more significant numbers of polyps, they can cause common clinical symptoms such as nasal congestion, runny nose, headache, dizziness, reduced sense of smell, and snoring during sleep. If the nasal polyps are severe, they might even lead to changes in the external shape of the nose, such as a saddle nose or a crooked nose, and in severe cases, they could induce comprehensive sinusitis.

Do vocal cord polyps require surgery?
Vocal cord polyps are a relatively common type of ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) disease. Some cases require surgical treatment, while others can be managed conservatively. If the vocal cord polyp is small and the clinical symptoms are not particularly obvious, conservative treatment with medication is generally recommended. Common treatments include oral medication and nebulizer therapy; if conditions permit, voice training can also be considered. Additionally, it is necessary to have regular check-ups to monitor changes in the vocal cord polyp. If the polyp is large and does not respond well to conservative medical treatment, surgical treatment might be considered, but regular post-operative check-ups are also necessary. (Specific medications should be used under the guidance of a doctor.)

Does throat cancer infect others?
Throat cancer generally is not contagious. Currently, the most accurate and fundamental etiology of throat cancer is not particularly clear. It may be related to genetic factors or issues with genes, or it could be due to long-term lifestyle habits, such as smoking, drinking alcohol, or exposure to irritating radioactive substances. Overall, from existing medical treatments and research, there is no evidence found of definite contagiousness. Thus, it is not considered an infectious disease, and excessive isolation is not necessary. Regarding treatment, it is primarily surgical-based at the moment, with some patients requiring a combination of radiotherapy or chemotherapy as comprehensive treatment methods. Also, long-term regular follow-ups are needed to monitor the recovery process.

Can acute pharyngitis be cured?
Acute pharyngitis is a relatively common otolaryngological disease with various clinical symptoms. The most common symptoms are sore throat, a sensation of a foreign body in the throat, and there may also be fever and dysphagia. In terms of treatment, it is first necessary to perform routine blood tests and laryngoscopy to determine the extent and type of inflammation. Generally, the treatment outcome for acute pharyngitis is quite favorable. If it is caused by bacterial infection, antibiotics can be considered. If it is caused by viral infection, antiviral medications should be considered. Nebulization can also be used as an adjunct treatment. Most patients can recover within about a week of treatment. (Please use medication under the guidance of a doctor.)

How is a deviated nasal septum caused?
Nasal septum deviation is a relatively common otolaryngological condition, primarily caused by congenital factors related to individual development. It can also be caused by trauma or fractures of the nasal septum. In terms of treatment, it's first important to assess the degree of deviation. If the deviation is minor and presents no significant clinical symptoms, often no special treatment is needed, and regular observation and check-ups suffice. However, if the deviation is notable and accompanied by symptoms such as nasal congestion, runny nose, headaches, and dizziness, surgery may be required. Currently, the main surgical approach is endoscopic septoplasty, a common minimally invasive procedure that generally provides definitive results. Post-surgery, regular check-ups are necessary to monitor recovery.

Can chronic rhinitis be completely cured?
Chronic rhinitis is a relatively common ENT disease with a high incidence among the population. Currently, treatment primarily focuses on controlling the condition and alleviating symptoms, and it is difficult to cure. Generally, it starts with a nasopharyngoscopy to assess the severity of the rhinitis. A sinus CT scan can also be performed to check for sinusitis. Oral medications are generally considered, and it is advisable to use them in conjunction with nasal sprays. During treatment, regular follow-ups are necessary, and nasal irrigation with saline can be used. Most patients generally stabilize within one to two weeks with standardized medication treatment. (Medication should be used under the guidance of a professional doctor.)

Is saline effective for turbinate hypertrophy?
Enlarged turbinates are a relatively common nasal disease. Rinsing the nasal cavity with saline solution has some therapeutic effects, but the specific effects vary greatly among individuals. Some patients experience good results, while others do not. In such cases, it is necessary to perform a nasal endoscopy and sinus CT scan to help assess the extent of the condition. If rinsing alone is ineffective, treatment should also include oral medications and nasal sprays. For a small number of patients who still do not respond well to standard conservative medication, surgical treatment might be considered, and long-term regular follow-ups are necessary to monitor for any recurrent episodes. (Please follow medical advice when using medications.)

What to do about acute pharyngitis in infants?
If it is said that a baby develops acute pharyngitis, this condition requires a visit to the pediatrician for a routine blood test to check the severity of the condition in the throat. Timely examination combined with the doctor's clinical experience generally helps to judge the severity of the condition. In terms of treatment, most patients can choose oral medications and nebulization therapy. During the treatment process, regular follow-ups are needed to observe the effects of the treatment. However, some patients may have more severe conditions and may need to consider hospitalization. The treatment period is generally around one week, during which fluctuations in the condition may occur.
